Superintendent Losquadro, Councilwoman Bonner Announce Completion of Dollar 800,000, 10-Road Paving Project in Coram

Coram, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilwoman Jane Bonner have announced the completion of a 10-road paving project in Coram.

Prior to the resurfacing of the roadways, crews installed approximately 1,800 linear feet of concrete and stone curb, 340 square feet of concrete sidewalk and ADA-compliant handicap ramps, and approximately 5,780 square feet of concrete aprons. Coupled with the milling and paving of the 10 roadways, the total cost for this paving project was approximately $815,000.

Roads resurfaced during this paving project include: Blair Court, Blair Drive, Colby Drive, Gregg Lane, Hale Street, Lyons Lane, Pine Road, Royal Drive, Winterling Street, and Woodridge Lane.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “The roads in this paving project had deteriorated and were in need of repair. I am grateful that we were able to include their resurfacing in our 2020 paving season.”

Councilwoman Bonner said, “Thank you to Superintendent Losquadro and the men and women of the Highway Department for moving these projects along so quickly. The roads have been resurfaced well before the cold weather comes, making them much safer during winter weather conditions.”
