Superintendent Losquadro, Councilwoman Bonner Announce Completion of $1.2-Million Coram Paving Project

Coram, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilwoman Jane Bonner have announced the resurfacing of nine roadways in a Coram neighborhood.

Prior to paving the roadway, crews inspected and installed new drains; installed ADA-compliant handicap ramps; and repaired and replaced damaged concrete aprons, curbing and cobblestones. The cost for the concrete improvements was approximately $207,000; the total cost for this paving project, including the resurfacing of the roadways, was approximately $1.2 million.

“During this paving project we were able to address some drainage issues on Pine Road, repair a large section of damaged curbing and resurface roadways that had greatly deteriorated over time,” said Superintendent Losquadro. “The area is now safer for residents, motorists and pedestrians.”

Councilwoman Bonner said, “Superintendent Losquadro and the Highway Department have done a great job making the roads in this Coram neighborhood much safer. Soon school will get started and automobile, bike and pedestrian traffic will increase. So, the completion of this work is very timely.”
