Superintendent Losquadro, Councilman Panico Announce Paving of South Street in Manorville

Manorville, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Dan Panico have announced the complete resurfacing of South Street from Weeks Avenue to Wading River Road, as well as Rosewood Lane in Manorville.

This paving project included the milling of more than 29,000 square yards of roadway, before nearly 3,400 tons of asphalt were put down on the roadway. Prior to the milling and paving, in-house Highway Department crews completed concrete repairs, inspecting drains and repairing any damaged concrete curbing, sidewalks and aprons. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $364,266.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “South Street is a main access road to several arterial roadways. Coupled with the paving of South Street from Chapman Boulevard to Wading River Road, which we completed during last year’s paving season, the roadway is now completely resurfaced, providing a safer, smoother ride for area motorists and pedestrians.”

Councilman Panico said, “Our Highway Superintendent and his crews have been diligent about making sure roads are resurfaced and maintained. We all appreciate their work.”
