Superintendent Losquadro, Councilman Loguercio Announce Paving of Mooney Pond Road in Coram, Selden

Coram/Selden, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Michael Loguercio have announced the resurfacing of Mooney Pond Road from County Road 83 in Selden to Pauls Path in Coram, as well as Sabre Drive, Sherry Lane and Kathleen Court.

Prior to the resurfacing of the roadways, in-house Highway Department crews completed concrete improvements in the area, including the installation of approximately 40 aprons, as well as new curb, sidewalk and ADA-compliant handicap ramps. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $419,000.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “Mooney Pond Road is a heavily-traversed, main thoroughfare for residents of the Bretton Woods, Country Village and Village in the Woods communities. The roadways in this paving project are now safer and smoother for all motorists, as well as pedestrians and bicyclists.”

Councilman Loguercio said, “Our Brookhaven Town Highway Department has once again done an amazing job paving many miles of road this season. Thank you to Highway Superintendent Dan Losquadro and the entire department for working so diligently to keep the roads safe for us all to enjoy.”
