Superintendent Losquadro, Councilman Loguercio Announce Completion of 1.3-Million Dollar Ridge Paving Project

Ridge, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Michael Loguercio have announced the resurfacing of 12 roadways in a residential neighborhood off Randall Road in Ridge.

Prior to the resurfacing of the roadways, crews installed approximately 3,750 linear feet of concrete and stone curb, nearly 3,200 square feet of concrete sidewalk and ADA-compliant handicap ramps, and nearly 7,500 square feet of concrete aprons. Coupled with the milling and paving of the 12 roadways, the total cost for this paving project was approximately $1,315,000.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “While I realize the resurfacing of New York State’s 25 is a priority for Ridge residents who travel this badly-deteriorated roadway on a daily basis, 25 is not under the jurisdiction of the Town of Brookhaven, but rather under the control and care of the New York State Department of Transportation.  I advocated for the state DOT to pave 25 this year and, thankfully, the work is finally underway. That, in conjunction with the 12 Town roadways resurfaced in this paving project, should provide some much-needed relief to area residents and motorists.”

Councilman Loguercio said, “Our Brookhaven Town Highway Department has once again done an amazing job paving many miles of road this season. Thank you to Highway Superintendent Dan Losquadro and the entire department for working so diligently to keep the roads safe for us all to enjoy.”

Roadways resurfaced during this paving project included Apex Lane, Blue Ridge Lane, Cedar Ridge Drive, Havendale Gate, Highview Lane, Hilltop Lane, Randall Road, Ridgehaven Drive, Rustic Gate, Sandy Hollow Lane, Stony Hollow Lane, and Woodbrook Drive.
