Brookhaven Highway Department Paves East and West Bartlett, Granny and Ashton Road

Middle Island, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Michael Loguercio have announced the resurfacing of portions of East Bartlett Road, West Bartlett Road, Granny Road and Ashton Road in Middle Island.

This paving project included the milling of nearly 48,000 square yards of roadway, before 5,800 tons of asphalt were put down on the roadways. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $438,000.

East Bartlett Road was completely resurfaced from Route 25 to West Bartlett Road; West Bartlett was paved from East Bartlett to Granny Road; Granny Road was resurfaced from West Bartlett to Ashton Road; and Ashton Road was paved from Granny to East Bartlett Road.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “All four of these roadways are heavily traversed and had deteriorated greatly over the years. I’m grateful we were able to include them in our 2020 paving season and provide motorists, pedestrians and area residents with some relief.”

Councilman Loguercio said, “Another wonderful paving project completed by our Highway Department. We thank them for all that they do in keeping our 3,500 miles of roads safe!”
