Manorville, NY – Brookhaven Highway Superintendent Daniel Losquadro announced the recent installation of Driver Feedback Devices in the vicinity of South Street School in Manorville.
The new, solar-powered Driver Feedback Devices were installed to alert approaching motorists of their speed. The mounted signs alert motorists to the 20 mph speed limit within the school zone, and then their current speed flashes below.
“These devices serve as a very visual, real-time alert that, hopefully, encourages drivers to slow down if they’re not already within the speed limit,” said Losquadro. “I am happy to have installed them to help keep our roadways safer for students, parents, faculty, staff and the surrounding community.”

“As principal of South Street School and a community resident, the safety of our students, families, and staff is paramount,” said John-Michael Jackson. “I’d like to thank Superintendent Losquadro for having driver feedback devices installed within our school zone to help keep everyone, especially our children, safe.”
