Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself as your representative in the Suffolk County Legislature for the Sixth District. It is truly an honor to be representing the area in which I have lived my entire life. I have made special efforts to reach out to the community to hear their needs and concerns and act expeditiously on them. I have instructed my staff to do the same.   • Legislator Losquadro Going Green
    - Legislator Daniel P. Losquadro (R. Shoreham) recently attended the "Going Green" Symposium held by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. The distinguished panel of experts included Bruce Germano, VP Retail Sales, Long Island Power Authority; Sarah Lansdale, Executive Director, Sustainable Long Island; Patti Wood, Executive Director, Grassroots Environmental Education; Ron Lanner, Partner, H2M Group; Daniel Losquadro, Suffolk County Legislator and Frank Mruk, Associate Dean for School of Architecture & Design, New York Institute of Technology. Among the issues that were discussed and exhibits that were presented were alternative and flex fuel vehicles, organic cleaning products, energy-efficient lighting, building and architecture, solar and clean energy options and other green products currently available for use at home or at work.
