Superintendent Losquadro, CouncilmanLoguercio AnnounceCompletion of Paving Project in Ridge

Ridge, NY– Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadroand Councilman Michael Loguerciohave announced the paving of Smith Road, along with a portion of Longwood Road, in Ridge.

Prior to paving, crews installed five new ADA-compliant handicap rampsand three new drains along Smith Road to alleviate flooding concerns.The total cost for this project was approximately $663,500.

“Many students travel along Smith Road on their way to and from Longwood Junior High School. It is now much smoother and safer for pedestrians, motorists and bicyclists,” said Superintendent Losquadro.

Councilmember Loguercio said, “Both Smith Road and Longwood Road are frequently traveled roadways for Longwood students, parents, and staff. I was very happy to once again work with Superintendent Losquadro to make these major improvements.”
