Ridge, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilwoman Jane Bonner have announced the completion of the paving of Whiskey Road from Ridge Road to William Floyd Parkway in Ridge. Caption: Superintendent Losquadro and Councilwoman Bonner on Whiskey Road in Ridge.

The total cost for this project, which prior to the milling and paving of 6,500 linear feet of roadway included the replacement of damaged curb and drains, as well as the widening of Whiskey Road to accommodate the creation of a turning lane at the intersection of William Floyd Parkway and Whiskey Road, was approximately $300,000.

“The portion of Whiskey Road that was resurfaced is heavily traveled by motorists accessing William Floyd Parkway,” Superintendent Losquadro said. “The paving, as well as the addition of a turning lane at the intersection of Whiskey and William Floyd, has made it safer for everyone who travels the roadway.”

Councilwoman Bonner said, “The resurfacing of Whiskey Road was a priority of mine and I thank the men and women of the Highway Department for getting it done. I will continue to work with Superintendent Losquadro to identify the roads in my district that need repaving and other improvements.”
