Prior to paving, crews inspected and cleaned all drains within the paving project and completed any necessary concrete restoration, including repairing damaged aprons and curbing. In addition, 1,300 feet of sidewalk was replaced and handicap ramps were updated to be in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act in the vicinity of South Street Elementary School. The total cost for this paving project was $301,000.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “South Street is a main access road to several arterial roadways. It is also in a school zone, which is why this 1.6-mile stretch of roadway was strategically paved over the summer to be as minimally-disruptive as possible to residents, students, teachers and staff.”

Councilman Panico said, “Superintendent Losquadro has worked very hard to improve our expansive roadway system. He and his employees continuously go through communities in this effort and this work in Manorville is a product of that work. “
