In addition, two new drains were installed to alleviate flooding issues on East Main Street at a cost of $13,683. The total cost for this paving project was approximately $450,000.

Superintendent Losquadro said, “This paving project completes a three-year process in which Moriches-Middle Island Road has been completely resurfaced from Yaphank to Moriches.  A major thoroughfare in Brookhaven, its resurfacing was done in stages and has now improved safety and driving conditions for all who travel it.”
