Centereach/Ronkonkoma, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Kevin LaValle have announced the completion of a $1-million, 16-road paving project in Centereach and Ronkonkoma. In addition to this project, crews resurfaced Cenacle Road in Ronkonkoma from Portion Road to Smith Road using $118,000 in Community Development Block Grant funding.

Prior to paving, crews replaced damaged concrete curbs and aprons and inspected and repaired any damaged drains in the paving areas.

Superintendent Losquadro said, ““The 16 roadways in the Centereach paving project were in poor condition and, since being resurfaced, will now provide a much smoother, safer ride for residents and area motorists. And, with the federal funding we received, we were able to pave Cenacle Road, which is a major thoroughfare in Ronkonkoma. Since I took office more than six years ago, we have been strategically working our way through the Town, addressing the roadways in the most severe need of attention. It is nice to see the progress that we are making with each project that is completed.”

Councilman LaValle said, “I thank Superintendent Losquadro and the Highway Department for repaving these Centereach and Ronkonkoma roadways and thanks to the federal funding we were able to secure, Cenacle road was completely resurfaced along with the rest of this 16-road project. The Town is committed to improving our infrastructure and aggressively seeking grant money to complete more projects like this in the future.”
